Welcome
Aboard…Welcome Abroad
Theology in the Trenches
by Kathleen Kjolhaug
Would
you like to come take a trip? No, really. Would you like to? You may choose
stateside or abroad. It will cost you nothing, except your time. Your gifts are
wanted; they are needed. No application necessary. No interview required…read
on.
WANTED: Partners in Prayer
to sit, stand, or kneel. Get a new perspective from the One who gives it with first
class seating guaranteed. When weather conditions close down airports, your
prayers will be transported without delay; no Wi-Fi needed.
Pick
your county, pick your nation, pick the person, team, friend or foe for which
to pray. You have total freedom as the possibilities are far and wide for you
to prayerfully consider. That which is placed upon your heart will be carried
to His throne of grace.
Your
business is obedience, His business is the fruit. In order to produce fruit, He
would like some planters to help sow. Welcome aboard to globe-trotting; welcome
abroad. Turn your heart towards The One who is and who is to come. As He
invites; the hope is that you will accept the position offered. It is sacred;
it is mighty. “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed you will move
mountains” (Matt. 17:20).
Position
open until filled. From the looks of it, He will need many a position filled for
generations to come. Step in, step up.
“Then
you will call on Me and come pray to Me, and I will listen to you” (Jeremiah
29:12).
“Call
to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do
not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).
“You
did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and
bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in My name the
Father will give you” (1Peter 4:7).
“I
thank and praise You, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power,
You have made known to me what we asked of you, You have made known to us the
dream of the king” (Daniel 2:23).
“May
the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to You, Oh
Lord” (Psalm 19:14). Amen.
